Is The
Christian Church
Producing Atheists
Because
Of A Lack
Of Substantive
Teaching?

Probably. It makes sense to me. I find that many of the young people at my church don't seem to know what "we" believe. Many have learned to be nice, meek, and mild in their behavior towards others, but don't seem to know anything of the core beliefs behind the beatitudes.

For men, especially, I believe this is a problem. As G.K. Chesterton said, "When a Man stops believing in God he doesn¹t then believe in nothing, he believes anything."

To which I would add, even atheism. Atheism is an logically unsustainable belief.

What the hell are you saying, Pastorius? It is belief in God which is not rational, but is instead depenedent upon Faith.

Yes, this is true. Faith is required for belief in God. But, Faith is also required to not believe in God, and yet, if one insists there is not God, then there is no reason to have faith that there is no God.

The fact is, and this is a law of logic, it is not possible to prove a negative. Therefore, it is impossible to prove that God does not exist. Therefore, it requires faith to insist that God does not exist.

Truth is, at best the issue is a shrug. What I mean by that is all we can do is shrug and say we don't know.

Unless..

... we have Faith.

At the very least, those who do, indeed, believe in God, have the logic behind them that their Faith has an origin. Atheists simply lack that. Therefore, all who proclaim themselves atheists lie to themselves above all else. Truth is, they have no idea what they believe. They are Agnostics. That is a very different thing from being an Atheist.

Anyway, let's get back to the primary subject of this post. The Christian Church, especially in Europe, seems to have developed quite an incredible taelnt for producing people who proclaim themselves to be Atheists.

In other words, we, the Church, are good at producing people who are in rebellion against God, and who would lie to themselves, in order to sustain their rebellion.

Why would human beings do this?

Because, the Christian Church is not good at teaching the foundational ideas upon which our Faith is based. Instead, we teach mushy doctrine, and mushy doctrine leads to ideas which are logically unsustainable. Therefore, like the computer Hal in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, many people who were raised in the Church find themselves unable to live with the contradictions in their programming.

And, they set out to kill themselves, and God, because the fact of their sheer existence is a logically unsustainable event.

Ooh, I can't believe you said that, Pastorius. Surely, you don't really believe that that is the origin of man's problems. No, it is not the origin. Pride is the origin. But, having fallen into sin through Pride, man now finds himself living with logical paradoxes which are perceived as contradiction, if one is not sustained by Faith.

Because we were Created by God to be Rational, we are programmed to be unable to live with irrationality. It kills us, and it leads us to kill. The wages of sin are death. It is as simple as that. Eat of the fruit and you will surely die.

And, the only way out is to turn to Faith in God, and to thank your Maker for His Grace in providing Salvation, which I believe comes through the Blood of the Lamb which God provided. And His name was Yeshua Ben Josiah, which means Jesus Son of Joseph.

There you go.

Thanks to my friend Lady Vorzheva for passing this along to me:

Christian webmasters: Anthony Horvath - Snt Johnny

Self-described Christian apologist and 'Snt. Johnny' webmaster Anthony Horvath explains why he's using the Internet to spread the Word

By Robert Duncan

The Internet era is opening new communication avenues - and with it an ever-increasing number of electronic missionaries. Self-described Christian apologist Anthony Horvath is one such person who is uniting a love for his faith with technology.

That said Horvath, who runs the
Snt. Johnny website, starts from a pessimistic outlook toward what he believes is the current status of Christianity, and the Christian Church in general. The response, according to Horvath, is to be obedient to Peter's charge in 1 Peter 3:15 to always be ready to give the reasons for what we believe.

According to Horvath, who has a BA in pastoral ministry and is working on a Masters in Philosophy and Apologetics, the Church "is near total defeat because it has failed over the course of recent decades to present itself vigorously."

Horvath - who has worked as a religion teacher and Director for Parish Ministries at a Lutheran church in Wisconsin - says that many modern-day atheists claim to have had a Christian upbringing. And that is where the technology part of Horvath's mission meets his faith.

"People aren't going to their pastors for their information anymore. They're going to the Internet. People aren't leaving the Church just because they're bored with worship styles. People want substance and don't know that we have it," he says.

A quick glance at the Snt. Johnny website shows that Horvath at least appears to be avoiding what for many are "ecumenical hangups," to instead focus his attention on what he calls "propositional terms" for determining if a person is a Christian. A person is a Christian, Horvath argues, if he believes the three "Ecumenical creeds."

"At this point, some 1.5 billion people still hold to what are called the Ecumenical creeds, the Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian Creed. When the Lutherans disagreed with the Catholics, they called themselves something different (because their propositions in some cases varied) but they could still both be called “Christians” because both groups abided by the Ecumenical creeds," writes Horvath on his website.

While not anti-Catholic, the recent reiteration on the part of the Vatican regarding the definition of "Church" - which some Christians and press mistakenly thought the Vatican was declaring that non-Catholics were not Christians – does seem to rankle Horvath and his Lutheran background.

“There seems to be the attitude that merely belonging to the organizational framework of the Catholic Church is all that is 'required' of a person. The Scriptures really don't support that idea, and the apathy that results in many cases is completely predictable,” Horvath says, adding “But the problem isn't just in the Catholic Church. This notion that a person is 'safe' so long as they are members of some official congregation and that their soul is in jeopardy if they are not is seriously harming the Christian church.”

According to Horvath, “There are some people that have the notion that our job on the planet is to maintain the borders of the 'Church' and if possible, grow those borders. In a word, they think the goal is to win people for the Church. But in fact our job is to save those who are in eternal peril, in a word, save them for Christ.”

Horvath also has harsh words for some churches that “focus on entertaining young people - and adults, too - as though if we just keep them entertained well enough they'll stay in the church. That just isn't the reality. Keep them entertained well enough and many will have pleasant memories about the churches they used to go to and won't like it when people make fun of the church, but they themselves will have chosen to leave the faith altogether.”

“We need to ask ourselves what we are about and really live with the implications. Curriculum should be chosen because of its substance rather than its style. There needs to be more clarity from the earliest to the oldest ages on just what the doctrines of the Church are and how they are derived from the Scriptures,” says Horvath.

In that way, Horvath argues that one of his goals is to be a wake-up call to the united body of Christians. Horvath's mission is also in a large part a result of his having toyed with atheism after years of Christian education. Horvath explains, "First and foremost, the Church produces atheists by refusing to address the questions that young people have, but secondarily, the Church has failed to explain what it believes and why. Books like Richard Dawkins's "The God Delusion" and Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" do not become best sellers in a society that understands what Christianity is all about."

The solution, according to Horvath, is apologetics in the defence of the Christian faith.

"(What) I am talking about is apologetics at a much broader scale then normally understood. It should not be left to professors or specialists, such as C.S. Lewis. It needs to be incorporated into everything we do as the Church from cradle to grave."

Horvath cites the Resurrection of Jesus as an example, "It is one thing to state that the Christian church believes that Jesus rose from the dead, as a point of dogma and doctrine. It is another to state the belief and give the reasons for maintaining that belief."

While Horvath admits there are plenty of “fine apologetic” websites already, he believes his site is different from many others as, “I focus on dealing with the individual arguments of individual non-Christians and don't usually produce material for the broader audience. But the main difference is that this site is mine.”

Furthermore, Horvath notes that by having his own platform he can engage the the world using his own particular strengths. And while Horvath says that he has seen some people turn to Christianity, the thing to remember is that apologetics is very much 'pre-evangelism.'

"I have a real heart for the college kid looking for answers, but I think the big picture requires us to stop sending our youth out like lambs to the slaughter in the first place,” Horvath said. "The battle turns on the success or failure of the local congregations to step up to the challenge."

Sudan:
Jews Are
Behind The
Darfur
Genocide

Yes, the Sudanese Minister of the Interior says so:

Sudan’s defense minister, Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein, has accused “24 Jewish organizations” of “fueling the conflict in Darfur” last week in an interview with a Saudi newspaper.

Hussein was interviewed during an official state-visit to the Saudi kingdom last week. A journalist from Saudi Arabia’s Okaz newspaper asked Hussein: “Some people are talking about the penetration of Jewish organizations in Darfur and that there is no conflict there?”

“The Darfur issue is being fuelled by 24 Jewish organizations, who are making the largest amount of noise over the issue, and using the Holocaust in their campaigning,” the Sudanese defense minister replied.

“Are these Jewish groups supporting (the rebels) financially?,” the interviewer from Okaz asked Hussein.

“Yes, they provide political and material support through their control over the media and across American and British circles,” Hussein said, adding that Jewish groups were using “all means to fuel these conflicts.”

First off, let's get this clear: The Sudan is an African country, but the Sudanese government is comprised of Arab Muslims. For twenty-four years they have been killing, raping, and enslaving black Christians, black Animists, and Africans of the peaceful Sufi sect of Islam.

Here's an article which details how the genocide progressed for over twenty years, leaving over 2 millions Christians and Animists dead.

http://www.religioustolerance.org/geno_su.htm

Here's an article which explains the Jihadic roots of the Sudanese genocide (note, this online site is not my favorite source of information, but I'm just providing it as part of a package of information):

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=26672

Note that this next article talks about how the genocide shifted in recent years. The first twenty years it was concentrated on Christians and Animists. Now, it is Muslim on Muslim. The predominantly Arab Muslim government is sponsoring the killing of Sufi Muslims (Sufi is the most love-oriented of Muslim sects) Also note that the article points out that France and other European countries oppose interfering because of oil interests in the Sudan:

http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=14414

Here's an article which talks about the shift to focus on the Sufi's.

Here's an article which explains a little bit about the philosophy of Sufism:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sufi

Sorry to give you so much information, but it is a complex situation.

I think it is very important that we Christians understand what is going on in the world. The media is simply not explaining this situation clearly. Therefore, while everyone knows that there is a genocide going on in "Darfur", few people understand that it is Muslims killing Christians, Animists, and Sufis as part of a wider Jihad, which unfortunately is spread across the entire world.

If you want, I will provide you information on how Islamic Jihad is going on everywhere in the world where Muslims represent a significant portion of the population.

I am not saying that all Muslims are evil. I am saying that there are verses within the Koran (which I will also provide you, if you want to see them) which support the waging of violent Jihad against all "non-believers."

Therefore, it is easy for radicals to hype unhappy people in the Muslim world into a state where they will kill.

That is not surprising is it?

We Christians need to understand that while we may not think of this as a Holy War, they do.

They are killing our fellow Christians because we are Christans.

Even Better
Than The
Real Thing:
Catholic
Missionaries
In The
Virtual World

The Jesuits are asking their followers to take the Gospel into the virtual world of Second Life, and I agree:

ROME (Reuters) - Catholic missionaries have always trekked to dangerous parts of the Earth to spread the word of God -- now they are being encouraged to go into the virtual realm of Second Life to save virtual souls.

In an article in Rome-based Jesuit journal La Civilta Cattolica, academic Antonio Spadaro urged fellow Catholics not to be scared of entering the virtual world which may be fertile ground for new converts wishing to better themselves.

"It's not possible to close our eyes to this phenomenon or rush to judge it," Spadaro said. "Instead it needs to be understood ... the best way to understand it is to enter it."

Second Life is a simulation game where players can create a virtual version of themselves -- an avatar -- and interact with other people in the three-dimensional world.

According to its Web site, it has a population of more than 8 million residents and millions of dollars change hands there every month.

"Is there (cyber) space for God?" Spadaro aaka in his article which says there are already virtual churches and temples serving countless religions. He quotes a Swedish Muslim who says his avatar prays regularly as he prays in real life.

Spadaro warns the uninitiated that "the erotic dimension is very present" in Second Life, that people can buy genitalia for their avatars in a world that is "open to any form of erotic stimulation from prostitution to pedophilia."

While the virtual world might be a refuge for some people seeking to flee the real one, it is also full of people seeking something more from life, including, possibly, religious enlightenment, he said.

"Deep down, the digital world can be considered, in its way, mission territory," he said. "Second Life is somewhere where the opportunity to meet people and to grow should not be missed, therefore, any initiative that can inspire the residents in a positive way should be considered opportune."

An old Pastor of mine used to say, if you want to hang with humans, you gotta realize you're gonna get humanity all over you.

This Jesuit academic is very wise. He is right. Christians must brave all new frontiers, no matter how fraught with temptation they are.

Does that mean that everyone has the calling to do this kind of work? Certainly not. But, I'm sure that there are those who do.

The
Hospice
Cat

This cat curls up next to residents of the nursing home in which he lives, in the hours before they are about to die.

I considered making some sort of grim reaper joke in the title, but that would be disrespectful to what this cat actually does, which seems to be to attempt to give a little love to these patients in their time of need. Wow.

A US cat that is reportedly able to sense when a nursing home's residents are about to die is baffling doctors.

Oscar has a habit of curling up next to patients at the home in Providence, Rhode Island, in their final hours.

According to the author of a study in the New England Journal of Medicine, the two-year-old cat has been observed to be correct in 25 cases so far.

Staff now alert the families of residents when he sits down next to their ailing loved one.
"He doesn't make many mistakes. He seems to understand when patients are about to die," David Dosa, a professor at Brown University who carried out the research, told the Associated Press news agency.

Oscar was adopted as a kitten at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre.

The cat is said to do his own rounds, just like the doctors and nurses at the home, but is not generally friendly to patients.

Although most families are grateful for the warning Oscar seems to provide, some relatives ask that the pet be taken away while they say their last goodbyes to their loved ones.

When put outside the room, Oscar is said to pace up and down meowing in protest.

Thomas Graves, a feline expert from the University of Illinois, told the BBC: "Cats often can sense when their owners are sick or when another animal is sick.

"They can sense when the weather will change, they're famous for being sensitive to premonitions of earthquakes."

A doctor who treats patients at the home said she believed there was probably a biochemical explanation, rather than the cat being psychic.

Gee, really?

:)

I thought the cat could lead us to the UFO's which have been invading our planet too.

Damn it all.

Liberal Anti-Semitism?

Hard to believe, huh? But, it seems to be latest hip thing. The Chicago Tribune was moved to run a piece on it yesterday:

The piece is about how “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” comes out at 2:01 a.m. Saturday in Israel, but Israeli law prohibits stores from being open on the Sabbath, or as Gawker puts it: “Head Heebs in the Holy Land are trying to keep bookstores closed at the appointed hour of the novel’s release.”

The unbylined piece (UPDATE: There actually is a byline or tagline or whatever you call a single name in small print off to the right of the posting’s conclusion. It’s “BALK,” short for editor Alex Balk) goes on to note:

“Some stores are planning to open anyway — these are Jews, let’s remember, and a buck’s a buck — which has resulted in predictable outrage from the Adonai-adoring elements of Israeli society.”They didn’t just go there, did they? What, is it Fun with Ages-Old Slanderous Stereotypes Week?

The piece then quotes someone from the United Torah Judaism Party (by way of an Associated Press story) slamming the Potter books’ “defective messages” and their subculture before the Gawker writer fires back: “[I]sn’t this exactly how some of us feel about, you know, the Bible and its subculture of weird, tallis-wearing followers?”

Hee hee — Orthodox Jews and other Bible readers sure are a bunch of weirdos!
I suspect the Gawker folks would say they’re being postmodern and ironic. They’re playing to a crowd that appreciates such wink-wink references (the comments include several inside jokes about Jewish law and nary a complaint). There’s already a popular Jewish magazine called Heeb, so why not embrace all slurs and stereotypes? Don’t take offense; it’s all in quotation marks.

In that spirit, may I nonetheless point out, Gawker, that sometimes you guys are real “schmucks.”

I think the writer of this piece from the Chicago Tribune, Mark Caro, is being generous in giving the writers at this "hip" blogs the benefit of the doubt by alluding to their postmodern ironic qualities.

What so postmodern and ironic about this stuff:

The left is getting more insane and more ugly by the hour. Here’s another way-over-the-line post by ‘Pareene’ at the worthless Wonkette site: Rudy Reveals Secret War! - Wonkette.

In a stunning rocket, Rudy Jew-liani basically admitted that he doesn’t know anything at all about foreign policy — or maybe that he knows too much. In an interview with the Jew York Times, Rudy inavertendly [sic] revealed that the US has been fighting an entire extra war these last few years that only he knows about.

Casual offhanded antisemitism—how edgy!

Wonkette has a history of this kind of thing: Wonkette: Jenna Bush Drinks ‘Jew Baby Blood’.

Hate speech is also being posted at another Gawker Media blog: Blue States Jews: ‘Harry Potter’ And The Jewish Problem - Gawker.

There Is A War Coming
And It Will Start
On August 2nd

Am I Nostradamus? No, I just know. I'll leave it up to you all to figure out how I know

From the Jerusalem Post:

IDF: Hizbullah moving rockets inside s. Lebanese villages

Hizbullah guerrillas have moved most of their rockets in south Lebanon among civilians in villages in an apparent attempt to avoid detection by Israel and UN troops, IDF officials said Sunday.

The new moves are part of Hizbullah's reorganization after the Second Lebanon War, the officials said. During the summer's war, Hizbullah fired almost 4,000 rockets at Israel.

While Lebanon criticized the IDF for targeting civilian areas during the war, Israel said Hizbullah was to blame for operating among civilians and putting them at risk.

Last summer, many of Hizbullah's rocket batteries were located in unpopulated rural areas, where the guerrillas dug networks of tunnels and fortifications, the officials said. But the army's new intelligence indicates that those positions had now largely been abandoned in favor of populated villages, which provide better cover for the group's activities. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity.

The UN-brokered cease-fire that ended the war expanded UNIFIL, the international peacekeeping force in south Lebanon, to 13,000 troops, entrusting it with ensuring that Hizbullah was not rearming near the Lebanon-Israel border.

Yasmina Bouziane, a UNIFIL spokesman in Lebanon, refused to comment on the Israeli charges.

A Hizbullah official in Beirut also refused to comment on the allegations. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said only that in the past Hizbullah guerrillas fired rockets at Israel from valleys and mountainous areas and not from inside villages.

The officials said Hizbullah's postwar efforts also included the construction of new fortifications north of the Litani River, farther from the Israeli border and out of UNIFIL's jurisdiction.

Yesterday, I posted this at Infidel Bloggers Alliance:

Iran In The Final Countdown?

From Pamela, at Atlas Shrugs:

Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad’s Council of War
NE Intel Network
21 July 2007

OSINT and HUMINT source reports have combined within the past 48 hours to constitute one of the most striking dioramas ever seen in any region of the world just prior to the initiation of full-scale armed conflict. These reports are far more than the proverbial handwriting on the wall or mere belligerent rhetoric; they are virtual and tangible realities seen in most instances by disbelieving human eyes, so real they stun the senses with an aura of surrealism.

These intelligence items were then capped by a two-day council of war lorded over by Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad. The first day’s session was held Damascus, Syria on Thursday, with the second session moved to Tehran on Friday. The details of this Iranian-led council of war are found in in this report from DEBKAfile. The HUMINT items of particular interest follow below. Click the article title or “read more” above to continue with this important special report.

On July 5, 2007, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported that Syrian authorities had instructed all Syrian citizens residing in Lebanon to return to their country by July 15, 2007. The next day, the Israeli Arab daily Al-Sinara similarly reported, on the authority of a Lebanese source close to Damascus, that Syria was planning to remove its citizens from Lebanon.

Also on July 5, the Lebanese daily Al-Liwa reported rumors that Syrian workers were leaving Lebanon at the request of the Syrian authorities. In addition, the Syrian government daily Al-Thawra reported that Syrian universities would accept Syrian students who were leaving Lebanon due to the instability there.

Ahmadinejad: “This summer will see Muslim victories in the region and the defeat of our enemies!”Al Qaeda in Iran and more on that here.

Hmm.

It's gonna be a long, hot summer. Those who are concerned about Global Warming will want to keep their eyes open.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali Is My Hero

Watch this video and see why. Watch, as Avi Lewis, a liberal Canadian, interviews Hirsi Ali, and scoffs at her critique of Islam, and her notions of Democracy in general, and America in specific.

Now, if you are interested, listen to this interview with my wife, as she tells about her move to America, as a little girl, and she and I talk about some of the American immigrants we know personally, who have become fabulously wealthy.

This idea that there is no more opportunity in America really burns me, because as a man who is married to a first-generation immigrant, I have seen the evidence of America's opportunity first-hand.

Think back on Hirsi Ali's answer to Avi Lewis:

"You can spit on Democracy, because you had the luxury of growing up in its freedoms."

Yes, that's true. Too many of us have become cynical, and ungrateful for what we have.

"The John Doe Outrage"
Congress Passes Bill
Which Enables Muslims,
Accused of "Suspicious Behavior" On Airlines
To Sue Their Accusers,
If Said "Suspicious Behavior"
Turns Out Unrelated To Terrorism

Sorry about the long title, but I wanted to get the whole point in there for you to see. If you get on an airplane, and you see a skinny man, asking for a seatbelt extender for himself (which, after all, if you think about it, can be used as a weapon), and you report this as suspicious, then you can be sued, if it turns out that the man does nothing wrong, before they stop him and escort him off the plane.

Therefore, you will not be likely to report suspicious behavior,

and,

therefore, this bill will enable terrorists to conduct countless "dry runs." And, we will never know when one of those dry runs may turn into the real thing, now will we?

LGF reports:

Debra Burlingame, whose brother Charles was the pilot of American Airlines flight 77 on 9/11, reacts to the latest Democrat outrage: Congressional leaders fail to protect terror tipsters from insane lawsuits.

The John Doe legislation, called the Protecting Americans Fighting Terrorism Act, passed in the House in April with overwhelming bipartisan support, by a vote of 304-121 - including 105 Democrats. Now, King wants to include it in the 9/11 security legislation as a stand-alone measure to assure its passage apart from the larger bill. It is up to the majority leadership, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, whether they will allow the provision to be added to the bill. Reached by telephone yesterday, a senior Pelosi staffer refused several times to say whether Pelosi supports the John Doe legislation in principle.

Why? What could prevent any member of Congress from supporting no-brainer, bipartisan legislation that protects Good Samaritans from frivolous lawsuits? One possible motive:

According to key Democrat leaders, John Doe protection will encourage “racial profiling.”
Let’s put this in perspective. The alleged conspiracy to kill U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix was foiled by a Circuit City store clerk who alerted law enforcement after the suspects brought a video to the store for reformatting on DVD.

An FBI spokesman called the 23-year-old tipster an “unsung hero” and acknowledged that the plot would have gone undiscovered if he hadn’t stepped forward. The hero clerk later told reporters that after seeing several Middle Eastern-looking men shouting “Allah Akbar” while firing assault rifles and engaging in military-type maneuvers on the video, he discussed overnight with his family whether or not to call authorities. Lucky for us, he made the right decision.

But would he have made that call if he thought getting it wrong might require defending himself against a multimillion-dollar lawsuit? Would you? “An overwhelmingly bipartisan majority of Congress supports protecting vigilant citizens who are our first and sometimes last resource in the War on Terror,” said Steve Pearce (R-N.M.), co-author of the John Doe bill. “But unfortunately they’re not going to get the support of the new majority leadership in Congress.”

Christians Crucified
By Islamofascists
In Iraq

Christians in Iraq, including converts from Islam and people involved in mixed-faith marriages, are being crucified by Muslim terrorists, according to a Dutch member of Parliament studying the war-torn country.

Several Iraqi Christians "are nailed to a cross and their arms are tied up with ropes. The ropes are put on fire," Joel Voordewind told BosNewsLife, an online news agency focusing on Christians and Jews in difficult circumstances.

According to the site, Voordewind described how a person, who "survived" a crucifixion, "even showed holes in his hands," apparently from nails.

Voordewind said victims of the crucifixions are "in most cases Christian converts who abandoned Islam or people who, religiously speaking, are involved in mixed marriages."

Faith
And Death
And Other Stuff ...

One of the ideas I have been stuggling with, of late, is death. The reason I have been thinking about this is, one of my good friends (Publius 2000) is currently watching his father die.

I watched my father die a few years ago. What a horrendous, and frightening process. Honestly, it seems to be an abomination to me.

That's a word that is thrown around casually by many people, although very few people actually know the definition of it. Let's look at the definition:

a·bom·i·na·tion [uh-bom-uh-ney-shuhn]
–noun
1.
anything abominable; anything greatly disliked or abhorred.
2.
intense aversion or loathing; detestation: He regarded lying with abomination.
3.
a vile, shameful, or detestable action, condition, habit, etc.: Spitting in public is an abomination.

A Jewish man once explained to me that the word, in Hebrew, connotes a process of deterioration through excess. In other words, an abomination is something that occurs because of abuse.

The shortest verse, that I know of in what we Christians call the "New Testament", is (John 11:35):

"Jesus wept."

Jesus wept when he saw his friend Lazarus die.

The most profound thing I have ever heard a Christian say - for, to tell you the truth, I have heard my Jewish friends, even those who have no faith, say many more profound things than my fellow Christians - is that the reason Jesus wept is because

He (being God) just did not want it to be this way when He created us.

A small digression -
Jesus, if you believe as I do, was God Himself. It's a mystery that is impossible to explain. But, for my Jewish friends, I will point out that the very first verses of the Bible (Genesis) use the Hebrew word Elohim, which is a plural word, to describe God.

The point is, God, Who is One in spirit, is mysteriously, inexplicably, a multiple Being, even in the Jewish Bible. - End of digression.

Anyway, when Jesus, and his Father, and the Spirit Who Moved Across The Waters, set out to create the Universe of material as we know it, They Created it and "saw that it was Good." The Garden of Eden was an idyllic state, where man walked in harmony with God.

God warned us that sin would surely bring death upon us all, and yet Adam and Eve, not truely understanding the consequences of their actions, and yet in rebellion towards their Father (God), did indeed sin.

Never blame Adam and Eve, or anyone else, for that matter. One of the deepest lessons of the Judeo-Christian life is that we all helped to drive the nails into Christ's hands and feet.

(God, this post is getting far more complicated than I wanted it to be, but that is what thoughts of death do to you.)

So, back to the point, Jesus wept because He never wanted it to be this way. He didn't Create us to die. He wanted us to experince Joy, and Fellowship. in His Presence. Instead, we experience pain, suffering, and finally death.

This is a tragic idea to Our God, and so it caused him to cry out in suffering Himself.

Just as it causes us to cry out in suffering.

The consolation we can take in this fact is that God loves us so much that he was willing to give His Only Begotten Son to die for us, to cure this state of affairs. That has not eliminated death from the face of the Earth, but has instead, eliminated it from the spiritual realm, which of course, we do not see, but believe in by the measure of faith granted to us.

Therefore, we still suffer, and we suffer greatly.

I pray for my friend Publius 2000 and his family. I ask God to help them. Publius sends me updates, and it sounds like his father is much stronger in his faith than I could ever imagine myself to be. As a father myself, I have realized the impact of one's "measure of faith" on my children.

God, I wish I had stronger faith.

Yesterday, in church, I listened very carefully to the words of my Pastor as he spoke of the humility that was required of Jesus in suffering and dying on the cross. This kind of humility is required of us. We need to bow our heads, and say to God, "Please forgive me."

But, that's not all.

We need to believe that His love spans across all things, material and immaterial; that it can reach all the way to us in our horrific state.

I, as a Christian, have a very hard time with that. I have no trouble believing that God exists. I have trouble believing that God loves me.

But, to not believe that He loves you is to deny the central point of His whole Being. And, to not believe that He loves you is to lack faith in Him.

I realized yesterday, in listening to my Pastor's words, that the one aspect of humility which I have not realized in my life (not that I am anywhere near perfect in every other respect :) is humility in the face of God's true love for me.

I don't know how it is that I am going to learn that lesson, but I must do so.

A friend of mine, Tyrone Wells, wrote a song called "When All Is Said And Done." It is a brilliant song. Here are the lyrics:

When all is said and done
And I'm looking back upon this race I've run
And when my heart gives in
I know you will be beside me precious friend
It's just the same from the beginning to the end

When all is said and done.

If I lose my way
And I wander down this open road for days
And if the sun should fall
And the dancing we once did becomes a crawl
Let the memories move like shadows on the wall

If I lose my way.

When I'm coming home
And I walk across the bridge of death alone
I will fix my eyes
On the One that's waiting on the other side

It's my old friend with countless others there beside

When I'm coming home

I don't know if my friend Tyrone truly has that kind of faith, or if he was simply inspired somehow to write that song. But, I need that kind of faith for what I do with my life. And, I pray that God will grant it to me.

(Here is a the best recording of Tyrone's song available on the internet, in case you want to hear it. The video is, uh, not very good, but it was not Tyrone's idea. Instead, it was the work of some fan, just as is this post.)

I See The Lord

Thanks to Olivia for sending this to me:

We Know
We're Lost
In Nowhere

The Secret Machines do "Nowhere":

cellophane flowers never happened for me
been sleeping the day off
watching the night fall
covering nowhere
filling my time share

there's a woman in the mirror in a firey state
as she motions to me I start turning away
she's lifting her dress up
trying to keep up

oh you'd be surprised
how we race

while our lives
erased

another moon on an everyday night
thinking the morning looking for alright
warming the blood flow
with poison I dont know why

maybe the rain stops following me
dripping the colors
running the daylight
over the cloud burst
hoping they don't burst

right before my eyes
erased

our lives
erased

we know we're lost we're lost we're nowhere now
we know we're lost we're lost we're nowhere now
now we know we're lost and nowhere now

maybe the rain will stop following me
with millions of colors reflected in daylight
right on the kickdrum
turning the sound up full

another alone on an everyday night
I think in the morning I think I'll be alright
watching the blood flow
no wonder I dont know why

theres a woman in the mirror in a firey state
she motions to me I start pulling away
she's lifting her dress up
all the way up

oh don't look surprised
erased

our lives
erased

our lives
erased

The
Samson
Option

From WND (with thanks to Michael):

Last week, WorldNetDaily reported a stunning admission from a Syrian official. He said that Syria had "learned from the Hezbollah experience last summer and we can have hundreds of missiles hitting Tel Aviv that will overwhelm Israel's anti-missile batteries."

He claimed Syria has "proof" Israel is also readying for a war. "We hear about special Israeli trainings to take Damascus. We see that Israel is re-establishing bases of the Israeli army in the Golan that are unusual and not needed except for war. We believe the Israeli government has an interest in confronting Syria to rehabilitate its image of losing to Hezbollah."

The WorldNetDaily report also says that Damascus believes newly-installed Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, a former prime minister, "wants to prove he is a military expert." This information is perfectly in line with the official statements made by both Bashar Assad and Mushen Bilal to several major Arab newspapers.

Furthermore, London's Daily Telegraph reported June 25 that Tehran was establishing a missile defense shield for Syria. Iran is also preparing to ship sophisticated military hardware, including "dozens of medium-range Shahab-3 and Russian-made Scud-C missiles, together with Scud-B missiles."

Syria recently test-fired two Scud-D surface-to-surface missiles that have a range of about 250 miles. This puts virtually all of Israel's population centers within range. Analysts say the planned Iranian arms shipment to Syria may be coordinated with the delivery of advanced Russian fighter jets.

Syria is also known to be producing non-conventional warheads, including those containing V-X gas for delivery via the new longer range and more accurate Scuds. All Israel's cities are within range of these missiles. Most of them can be reached in less than three minutes. Syria is gambling that Israel's performance in the Hezbollah war of June 2006 means that it has seen all Israel has to offer.

Apparently, Bashar Assad now believes Israel can be beaten. Assad is miscalculating. In the event Syria launches a gas attack on Israel, it's a virtual certainty that Damascus would be instantly obliterated by Israeli nuclear weapons.

The thought of being gassed evokes a visceral response among Israel's Holocaust survivors and their descendants that Damascus wildly underestimates. Israel has more than 400 nuclear weapons in hidden silos in various places within its borders, as well as at least two submarines in the Mediterranean that are launch capable. And you can be certain that in the event of a massive WMD attack by the Syrians, Israel will respond in kind.

There are two particular codes used by Israeli Defense Forces when planning worst-case scenario responses. One is called the "Masada Option." Masada was an ancient fortress taken by the Romans following a three-year siege. Just before they were overrun, the defending Jews committed suicide rather than be captured.

The other code term, "The Samson Option," refers to Samson, who said just before he pulled down the house of the Philistines on himself – and them – "Let me die with the Philistines." Judges 16:30 records it this way: "Then Samson said, 'Let me die with the Philistines!' And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life."

That's pretty clear imagery. Israel will not just meekly fade away into destruction. And it certainly won't die alone, even if it has to destroy itself in the process of nuking the Middle East.
I once encountered Ariel Sharon in the Knesset in the late 1970s. I asked him if Israel still had a Masada Option. He boldly announced, "No longer 'Masada Option' – now 'Samson Option.'"

Moshe Dayan and Golda Meir almost used that "Option" in the first days of the Yom Kippur War, when it appeared they were going to be overrun. Dayan gave the code for its use when he told Prime Minister Meir, "Arm the doomsday weapons, the Third Temple is about to fall."
War with Syria threatens to bring all nations of the Middle East into direct conflict with Israel – even the supposedly moderate state of Jordan. Jordan has never recovered from the defeats it suffered at the hands of the Israelis, particularly in 1967, in which it lost both the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Amman plays a cagey game, sitting on the fence, not quite friends with Israel and not quite enemies, but certainly ready to reclaim Jerusalem should the opportunity arise. The words of Zephaniah outline both Amman's history and its future.

"I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Amman, by which they have reproached my people, and made boasts against their border. Therefore as I live, says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Amman as Gomorrah, even the breeding of weeds, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall plunder them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them." (Zephaniah 2:8-9)

Each of these events is in the future, according to Scripture. In each case, these prophecies remain unfulfilled. But current events suggest that all could be fulfilled to the letter – in an instant of time.

Never in history have any of these events occurred. More than that, at no time in recorded history were any of these things even possible. And never before have all the causative factors been present at the same moment in history.

But today, they are the only logical conclusion if current events continue along their current path. It's a terrifying scenario, but to those who trust that these signs point to the imminent return of Christ for His Church, it is, nonetheless, an exciting time to be alive. This is a WorldNetDaily printer-friendly version of the article which follows.

'De-Islamatization': Why it must be done?!?

Is there not a cause?
~ David (c. 1040 B.C.)

Until philosophers rule as kings or those who are now called kings and leading men genuinely and adequately philosophize, that is, until political power and philosophy entirely coincide, while the many natures who at present pursue either one exclusively are forcibly prevented from doing so, cities will have no rest from evils ... nor, I think, will the human race.
~ Plato ("The Republic" 473c-d)

Bombs, bullets and soldiers alone will never stop al-Qaida, Hezbollah, radical Islam and their religious fanatical jihad against Judaism, Christianity and the West. Why? Because Islam is an idea, a belief, a philosophy, a worldview, a religion that over a billion and a half people follow and live their daily lives by.

Islam determines what Muslims think, hear, value, believe ... even die for. Islam is what a billion and a half Muslims have banked their eternal destiny on and more than not will gladly give their lives to assure a Muslim world, as painfully witnessed recently in the terrorist bomb plots at London's West End and Scotland's Glasgow Airport where so far six of the eight suspects detained are respected, upper-class Muslim medical doctors.

We must change philosophy (religion) by philosophy.

This isn't an original idea. Remember that the first thing the victorious Allies did after conquering Hitler and his Nazis during World War II was to institute a comprehensive "de-Nazification" program to change the thinking of all Germans away from Nazi fanaticism and anti-Semitism to a representative democracy, establishing a republic based on the legal/moral paradigm of the rule of law and a Constitution. A similar program was enacted by Gen. Douglas MacArthur to convert the Japanese masses away from the maniacal fanaticism of Emperor Worship, which existed for over 1,000 years. Sixty years later, Japan stands as a faithful ally of America and a bulwark republic in an area rife with Communist dictatorships and growing Islamic hegemony.

Why wouldn't a formal policy of religious conversion, "de-Islamatization" if you will, work for a U.S. president that's got the guts, vision, leadership and ability to do it? The critics will prattle: "The Muslim faith is a religion of peace, not war"; "All Muslims aren't bad"; "The Muslims will call us 'Crusaders.'" Let us prove them right, not by reclaiming or conquering Muslim lands, but neutralizing the radical elements of their religion at the meta (intellectual) level by spreading our Judeo-Christian traditions – traditions that are infinitely more compatible with a democratic-republic form of government than any form of Islam, which, I wrote in an earlier column, is incompatible with a republic.

I know to some readers this sounds a bit radical, Pollyannaish and naïve, but hear me out. Look at what Muslim countries do to our Judeo-Christian beliefs. There is an explicit, unified and purposeful strategy to forbid strictly the Bible, Christian literature or proselytizing of any kind in virtually all Muslim countries at pains of capital punishment – the most egregious and overt being Saudi Arabia, America's supposed ally in the war on terror. Yet the Muslims can build mosques in America and in the West as fast as Saudi Arabia, Iran or some other Muslim country, or terrorist organization, sends them the funds. The result: Genocidal Islam grows right here in America, while Judeo-Christianity dies a slow death on the vine due to 150 years of neglect and failure to use the world's greatest religion as a viable domestic and foreign policy strategy and geopolitical export to the nations of the world.

The crux of the argument is: Can a secular liberal democracy ever defeat genocidal Islamic jihad against the West? I answer no. The problem with the war on terror is that we are asking the wrong people for their expert opinion to deal with the West's vexing problems of worldwide terrorism.

In the fourth century before Christ, the Greek philosopher Plato, in his magnum opus, "The Republic," had the same dilemma and criticism with his view of history up to that time and even with the rulers of his day. Plato's contention was that a competent, well-rounded ruler needed, besides a thorough grounding in the military arts, mathematics and music, to also have a meticulous foundation in philosophy. The Greeks called this curriculum The Quadrivium. The ideal leader needed to be a philosopher-king.

Why? Because philosophers understood better than, say, a military commander, a senator, a well-connected Athenian, "guardians" (officers/soldiers) or "merchants" (business owners/producers), the intricacies of human nature, of mankind's predilections, perversities, prejudices and what makes them do certain things under certain situations. Moreover, a philosopher, because he is a deep thinker and spends much of his time contemplating the particulars of human nature, would be better equipped to come up with a viable solutions to America's rhetorical "war on terror."

Earlier this year in a surprise debate with a former liberal professor of hers, Dr. Mary Grabar made the following prescient remarks on Plato:

I think that's a big misconception about "The Republic." In the literature, the claim is often made that Plato was advocating a totalitarian government. But my understanding is that the dialogue is not to be taken literally. Rather, the philosopher-king is the reluctant ruler, motivated not by ego or personal gain. His motivation is the love of wisdom and justice. These ideas, indeed, form the basis for our republican form of government, in contrast to a popular democracy ruled by the masses. You may recall Thrasymachus. …

Speaking as a philosopher, I am convinced that America's current military strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan is not only ineffective, but generates increasing numbers of fanatical Muslims championing jihad – something to die for.

No wonder our cause in the war on terror is lost before it begins and will only get worse unless President Bush and his war advisers start reading (and following) the enduring and wise admonitions of Plato's "Republic" and begin fighting a war of ideas, a war of philosophy, a religious war against the Muslim infidels like those battles waged by the great philosopher-kings of old – in primeval times when Christian monarchs like Charles "the Hammer" Martel (686-741), Charlemagne (742-814), Richard the Lionhearted (1157-99), Elizabeth I (1533-1603), Jan III Sobieski (1629-96) and Peter the Great (1672-1725) all fought so valiantly against the Muslim menace, face to face.

As President Bush implements his ill-fated military "surge" in Iraq, I wish he understood that he doesn't need more troops to be sent to this 21st century Vietnam; he needs one adviser that has read Plato's "Republic" to give him a crash course on how to follow the tried and true strategies of the magnificent philosopher-king.

Three thousand years ago, David, a future philosopher-king, was born. A young, anonymous Jewish boy on the back hills of Judea asked his king as the armies of Israel cowered in fear before the dreadful Philistine giant, Goliath, the simple but sublime question: "Is there not a cause?" That same teenage boy took a rag and a rock, ran onto the battlefield to confront this 9-foot-9-inch infidel giant, popped him in the head with his slingshot, killing him, and chopped off his head with Goliath's own sword. Now, in my humble opinion, that boy was a real man! Would to God that America, Britain, Israel and all nations of good will had a philosopher-king to deliver us this day from our two greatest enemies – liberalism and Islamic hegemony.

Wall Street Journal
Runs Article
On Internet Jihad

From the WSJ:

Living as we do now afloat the incoming and outgoing tides of media, perhaps the aborted London and Glasgow car bombings of a fortnight ago are worth another thought before these attempted mass murders drift away on the sea of bad memories. What about those doctors? The apparent complicity of U.K.-resident Muslim physicians in the attempted murder of innocent British civilians had many in the West asking why. The short answer is that these trained M.D.s somehow convinced themselves that these British people didn't deserve to live--that it would be morally good to kill them. That's insane. Why would they think that?

The best answer I have seen in a long time is found in a new study of Islamic media propaganda by a research team from Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. "Iraqi Insurgent Media: The War of Images and Ideas" by Daniel Kimmage and Kathleen Ridolfo (with Radio Free Iraq correspondents, two of whom were abducted and murdered this year) is an astounding compilation of the high-tech methods being used by the insurgency in Iraq to propagate the ideology of the Islamic jihadist movement. This is the blogosphere for killers.

There is no more unchallenged verity in our times than that the World Wide Web, the Internet, is a boon to mankind. But as with nuclear or biological warfare, the Web is a dual-use technology. Technically adept Muslims, using out-of-the-box PC software and hardware, are outputting an electronic torrent of slick Web sites, discussion forums, videos, e-magazines and long-form movies, all with one purpose--to incite Muslims to join the jihad against the enemies of Islam in Baghdad, London, Glasgow or New York. Forget those Iraqi attack videos on YouTube; this is a sophisticated, globally distributed propaganda operation.

I would recommend reading the whole thing, but I do want to note that the final paragraph is important to note:

If you are a young Muslim male, even a doctor, with a PC in Egypt, the Gulf states, Somalia, Morocco or Glasgow, as always with the Web you are marinating your mind in its content, and the content here is homicide on a mass scale. The answer--technical or political--is not obvious to me. But the one unacceptable answer is doing nothing.

Last night I interviewed the lovely Pamela on the IBA Radio Show and she made a comment to the effect that doing nothing in the face of evil is the equivalent of crime.

Let's put that into an equation:

Silence In Face Of Evil = Crime

I don't know how long it is going to take Western Civilization to wake up, but the longer it takes the more ugly the results are going to be. The things we will have to do to win this war will sicken us beyond belief.

I am confident we will win, but I am saddened by the impending disaster.

And, I believe the blood is on the hands of the appeasers even more than it is on the slaves of Allah.

"Time Running Out For Iran Strike"

I would have thought we'd all have reached this conclusion a long time ago. I hope this man's words reflects some sort of change in Western leadership:

Predicting that sanctions will ultimately fail to stop Teheran's nuclear program, (Pastorius note: Gee, really? Who woulda thunk?) Brig.-Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser, former head of Military Intelligence's Research Division, told The Jerusalem Post on Monday that time to launch an effective military strike against Iran's nuclear installations was running out.

According to Kuperwasser, who stepped down from his post last year, Iran is "very close" to the point that it will cross the technological threshold and have the capability to enrich uranium at an industrial level. Once they master the technology, the Iranians will have the ability to manufacture a nuclear device within two to three years, he added.

(Pastorius note: It seems to me everyone has been saying "two to three years" for at least two to three years now. I'm sick of this. Let's get on with the show, or fact that we will have the apocalypse on our hands.)

"The program's vulnerability to a military operation is diminishing as time passes," Kuperwasser said, "and they are very close to the point that they will be able to enrich uranium at an industrial level."

Report: Iranian general providing top intel. to US

In an article entitled "Halting Iran's Nuclear Weapons Program: Iranian Vulnerabilities and Western Policy Options" published this week by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs - run by former Israeli ambassador to the UN Dr. Dore Gold - Kuperwasser spells out what he believes is the only course of action that will stop Iran's race to nuclear power.

Thanks to technological sophistication, advances in producing raw materials as well as intermediate products and the improvement in protection of the program's components, the Western world is beginning to find it difficult to plan an effective strike against Iran's nuclear facilities, he said.

On Monday, The Washington Post revealed new satellite photos of Iran's enrichment facility at Natanz which showed the digging of a tunnel that analysts said could be used to hide and protect key nuclear components.

Iran, Kuperwasser said, was working on two parallel tracks - one at Natanz to enrich uranium and the plutogenic track being worked on at the Arak heavy water facility.

As long as Russia was not aligned with the United States, Kuperwasser said sanctions would not work on their own to stop Iran.

(Pastorius note: And, of course, Russia is selling them the nuke plants and the parts, for God's sake. Sanctions are a charade.)

"For significant sanctions to be effective the world needs to at the same time threaten the use of military force," he said. "Iran needs to be made to understand that if the sanctions won't work, the world is prepared to use military force to stop the nuclear program."

He said Iran was preparing for the possibility of war, but that deep down the Islamic leadership did not believe that either the United States or Israel were in a position of strength that would enable them to launch such a complicated military operation.

Iran, he said, was purchasing Russian air defense systems and was fortifying its nuclear facilities and moving key elements to underground bunkers in preparation for the possibility that its assessments were wrong and it would in the end be attacked.

"The Iranians are working around the clock on improving military capabilities and they are also moving centrifuges to underground facilities," he said.

Kuperwasser said that a real threat of military action - backed up by credible threats by world leaders as well as the deployment of a large military force to the region - could have the right effect in deterring Iranian leaders from continuing with their nuclear program.

A credible military threat combined with economic leverage had a chance at preventing the need for a future clash with a nuclear Iran and perhaps could also make it unnecessary to deal today with an Iran that is close to nuclearization, he said.

Bullshit. Sanctions will not work. They are deadset on this course of action. They, like North Korea, have proven they don't mind pissing off their people in order to make this goal happen. When the people have risen up, the government simply arrests, beats, kills, and tortures them.

Sanctions didn't work on Saddam Hussein, and they went on for 12 years. When have sanctions ever worked? Answer me.

In further news, the United States Navy has just sent another aircraft carrier into the waters off Iran:

MANAMA (Reuters) - The U.S. navy has sent a third aircraft carrier to its Fifth Fleet area of operations, which includes Gulf waters close to Iran, the navy said on Tuesday.

Enterprise (aircraft carrier) provides navy power to counter the assertive, disruptive and coercive behaviour of some countries, as well as support our soldiers and marines in Iraq and Afghanistan," a U.S. Navy statement said.

The move comes weeks after a flotilla of U.S. warships sailed through the narrowest point in the Gulf to hold exercises off Iran's coast in a major show of force.

Tension over Tehran's nuclear ambitions has raised regional fears of a military confrontation. Recent U.S. naval presence in the Gulf has been the largest since the 2003 Iraq war.

The Fifth Fleet area of operations includes the Arabian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Gulf of Oman and parts of the Indian Ocean.

Calling All Angels

A song by the band Train (lyrics below the video).

Our world is behaving very strangely. We are involved in some sort of spiritual warfare that we don't see. I have to wonder what is happening behind the scenes.

Pay special attention to the line, "I won't give up - You don't give up".

I think you could say that is my motto. God (Yeshua) will never fail us.

I need a sign to let me know you're here
All of these lines are being crossed over the atmosphere
I need to know that things are gonna look up
'Cause I feel us drowning in a sea spilled from a cup

When there is no place safe and no safe place to put my head
When you feel the world shake from the words that are said

And I'm calling all angels
I'm calling all you angels

I won't give up - you don't give up

I won't give up - you don't give up
I won't give up - you don't give up
I won't give up - you don't give up

I need a sign to let me know you're here
'Cause my TV set just keeps it all from being clear
I want a reason for the way things have to be
I need a hand to help build up some kind of hope inside of me

[Chorus]

When children have to play inside so they don't disappear
While private eyes solve marriage lies cause we don't talk for years
And football teams are kissing Queens
and losing sight of having dreams
In a world that what we want is only what we want until it's ours

[Chorus x2]

Calling all you angels [Repeat till fade]

By the way, I'm not a person who needs a sign from God "to show me that you're here." I was blessed with almost absolute faith that God is here, and present with us, and that He loves us. I know many believers who struggle with that aspect of faith.

I have many other weaknesses, but that is not one of them.

I believe God is going to get us through these times, but I fear what is becoming more and more inevitably apparent. We are in, perhaps, the Last Days of mankind. Perhaps, the time of the Gentiles is about to end.

Maybe I'm Amazed
Psalm 151

You can't imagine how much I love my wife.

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the the way you pulled me out of time
Hung me on a line

Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Baby I'm a man and maybe
I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he dosent really understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby, won't you help to me understand

Maybe Im a man and maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he dosent really understand

Maybe I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman
Who could ever help me
Baby, wont you help me understand?

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time

Maybe Im afraid of the way I leave you

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song
You right me when Im wrong
Maybe Im amazed at the way I really need you

I also want to say that Joe Citizen is my soulmate in the blogosphere. I had the pleasure of meeting him this past week and he is an important guy.
